December update continued.

December 28.

New brakes.

The brakes are so big and heavy duty that they were actually rather easy to install.

Front hub.

Newly reinstalled front hub.  Surprisingly, it took quite a bit of effort to install the bearings, races and dust shield and mount the hub on the spindle.  My back is tired!

Rear hub.

Rear hub with races installed and ready to be mounted on rear axel.  A job for next weekend.

Tires and rims.

All four rims have been painted.  Nice green, huh?

Installing Steel brake lines

The original copper brake line had to be replaced with steel line.  This required several lenghts of brake line, a flaring tool and a tube bender.  Al is cutting a piece of brake line to lenght prior to bending it to fit.

Front brake crossover line.

The front cossover brake line has benn bent and installed.  It still has to be connected to a 3-way block for connection to the left brake and the master cylinder.

Rear brake crossover line.

The rear crossover brake line required a few extra bends.  The feed line from the master cylinder is bent along the inside of the chassis rail.
