December update continued.
December 28.

New brakes.
The brakes are so big and heavy duty that they were actually rather easy to install. |
|
Front hub.
Newly reinstalled front hub. Surprisingly, it took quite a bit of effort to install the bearings, races and dust shield and mount the hub on the spindle. My back is tired! |
|
Rear hub.
Rear hub with races installed and ready to be mounted on rear axel. A job for next weekend. |
|
Tires and rims.
All four rims have been painted. Nice green, huh? |
|
Installing Steel brake lines
The original copper brake line had to be replaced with steel line. This required several lenghts of brake line, a flaring tool and a tube bender. Al is cutting a piece of brake line to lenght prior to bending it to fit.

|
Front brake crossover line.
The front cossover brake line has benn bent and installed. It still has to be connected to a 3-way block for connection to the left brake and the master cylinder. |
|
Rear brake crossover line.
The rear crossover brake line required a few extra bends. The feed line from the master cylinder is bent along the inside of the chassis rail. |
